Meet Mae

Aloha! Welcome to Snap, Classroom, Pop!

My name is Krista Mae and I like the smell of nature, the touch of ocean water, the taste of espresso, the sight of capturing a beautiful moment, the sound of shells tinkling underwater, and the feeling of helping a student grow.

I spent the first 21 years of my life living in Bethany Beach, Delaware and then I hopped on a plane in 2007 and moved to Honolulu, Hawaii. What I thought would only be a couple years stay, has turned into almost {eight} lucky years in paradise!

{SNAP}
I have always had a passion for photography because I believe photos are an amazing way to document travels and accomplishments, haircuts and relationships, the best and the worst moments life has to offer. Time moves surprisingly fast and I don’t wanna miss a thing. Stay tuned for some random photos. This blog will serve up snapshots of my life, always searching and exploring and experiencing things and people I only dreamt to be fortunate enough to be a part of. I have a Canon DSLR but recently added a GoPro Hero 3+ to my collection, so that has been keeping me entertained underwater and in the mountains!

{CLASSROOM}
This year is my 4th year teaching with the Hawaii DOE and I have an amazing K-5 Special Education class with some of the cutest keiki ever! I feel so lucky to have been placed at such a wonderful school where I have met amazing co-workers, who turned into best friends. <3 I started selling some of my teaching tools on Teachers Pay Teachers and wanted to start blogging to be able share more ideas with everyone!

{POP}
Pop is going to to be a mixture of Food, Fitness and ALOHA! I became a vegetarian a few months after moving to Hawaii and recently, (gasp) started eating chicken again.. organic + antibiotic free, of course. In recent years, I have become very interested in a moderation of a gluten-free and juicing lifestyle. In July 2014 I started PURIUM and I will be sharing my story and success about that as well. I enjoy finding new recipes and creating my own recipes, so I would like to share those as well. Other pops of fitness, fun and random acts of aloha will appear on this blog so I hope that you follow along so I can share all of these wonderful things with you!

Aloha, Krista
